Hello, I am Hanqing Wang, a first-year MPhil student in HKUST, guangzhou campus, advised by Prof. Hui Xiong (IEEE, AAAI, AAAS Fellow) in the AI+ Lab.
I got my bachelor's degree at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation, Huazhong University of Science and Technology HUST AIA.
I once did research at VDI Center of ShanghaiTech University, where I worked with Prof. Jingyi Yu and Prof. Jingya Wang.
I'm also fortunate to work with Prof. Yuexin Ma. And I had a wonderful time as a research intern at Shanghai AI Lab, working with the AI Bench team, which is directed by Prof. Guangtao Zhai .
I'm currently interested in 3D Vision, MLLMs, Generative World Models, and their applications in robotics.

Research 💡
My research interest is broadly in MLLMs Generative World Models, 3D Computer Vision, and their application in
Robotics currently. My research objective is to build an intelligent agent with the robust and generalizable ability to perceive and interact with a complex real-world environment.

We introduce Affordance-R1, which is capable of generating explicit reasoning alongside the final answer. With the help of proposed affordance reasoning reward, it achieves robust zero-shot generalization and exhibits emergent test-time reasoning capabilities.
